Who we are

Home Cleaning Club Scotland is the controller of the personal data described here. If you have any questions about how we use your data, contact us at hello@homecleaningclub.uk.

What we collect

• Waitlist and quotes: your name, email, mobile number, postcode (and the area it's in), the size of your home, the kind of clean you're interested in, how you heard about us, and the price we showed you.
• "Clean for us" applications: your name, contact details, postcode, the areas and hours you'd like to work, whether you drive, your experience, self-employed status and whether you have existing clients.
• How you found us: the link or campaign that brought you to the site (for example a Facebook post).

Why we use it

• To send your quote, tell you when we can book you in, and arrange your cleans — because you asked us to (taking steps towards a contract).
• To send club news and offers about our own services. You can opt out on the form, or unsubscribe any time with one click in any email (legitimate interests, and the "soft opt-in" for people who've asked for a quote).
• To review your application to clean with us and contact you about it (taking steps towards a contract).
• To understand which areas and campaigns are working, using totals rather than individuals (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Home Cleaning Club, such as secure data storage, website hosting, email and, once we take bookings, payment processing. They only use your data to provide their service to us, under contract, and must keep it secure. When we match you with a Home Cleaning Specialist, they'll see only the details they need for your cleans.

Some providers may store or process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK-approved contract terms.

How long we keep it

Waitlist details: until you ask us to remove them, or 24 months after we last heard from you. Applications: 12 months after we decide, unless you join us.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to how we use it, or stop marketing at any time — email hello@homecleaningclub.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
